While the ancient history of Egypt is both rich and well documented, there is much dispute and confusion regarding its original appellation and its exact location. The name ‘Egypt’ has been thought to be a foreign appellation as throughout history there has been multiple appellations for the ancient land of the Nile Valley leaving much mystery and confusion to be discerned. Aside from the generally known names like “Kmt” or “Copt,” there have been other names for Egypt such as “Goshen,” “Sais,” or “Baqt” meaning “Moringa-land,” and “Ta-Mehew” translated as “NorthLand,” and “Ta-Sheme’aw” meaning “Sedgeland,” and “Nehi” meaning “land of scyamore.”
